Happy Summer! This June we highlight a postcard from our collection. You may recognize this sunny scene to be Lake Grove Park in Auburn, a popular spot for lounging since 1909. A woman by the name of Julia sent this postcard to Worcester, Massachusetts in care of her friend, E.H.H. Wilson, from Turner on May 14. She wrote about the magazines she had been enjoying, including Ladies’ World and the Mother’s Magazine and sent well wishes to her friend, regretting to hear that she had suffered from a boil. Julia wrote, “I hope you will not have to wear any scar.”
