Roy and Mary Tassinari have been involved in the shoe industry for a very long time, even their parents worked in various shoe mills both in Maine and in Massachusetts. They share a lot about the process of shoemaking, going over everything from wooden heels, shoe counters, locations and specializations of various shoe Mills in Auburn, even including some of the pay stubs going back to before World War Two. The end of the interview continues the conversation about World War Two, talking about the rationing they had to undergo during the war and some of the restrictions they had to work with.
