Penny Drouin

In this interview, Hermance, or “Penny,” Drouin speaks about her time working with Knapp Shoe. She explains her experience entering the shoe industry at a young age, her early life in the Lewiston-Auburn area, her children and family life, standards, benefits, and pay in her job, and professional relationships and friends she made in the industry. She goes on to talk about her experience with a union, family pressures and the necessity to work at a young age, and tells stories from her home life, and of her parents.
