Norm Perreault
Norm Perault was born and raised in Lewiston, where his father worked at the Bates Mill as the supervisor for the boiler room. Norm started work at the Bates mill at 16, but left shortly after to become a lumberjack. A supervisor for the Hill Mill later made a bet that he wouldn’t last two weeks at the mill; he ended up working there until the mill closed. From there he went to the Edwards Mill for 13 years. He was a supervisor himself for the time, and he shares a lot of information about the unions and the people who worked alongside him in the mills.
