Norm Davis

Norm Davis of Morin Brick Company was born in Waterville, Maine, and has lived his entire life in Auburn, Maine. In this interview he shares his perspective as to what Auburn used to look like, versus what it looks like now. He offers insight to mills and shoe shops closing, fields of dairy cows turning to a mall, change in overall landscapes and state of the roads, and increased housing and industrial diversity. He goes on to talk about family life, his uncle’s involvement with bricks, and his own work in the brick industry. He expands upon brick materials, color, and striking, and people he worked with in the industry. He also speaks much on the ownership of the brick company he worked for, changes to the industry, and the clay used to make bricks.
