Jeannine Roy was a shoe worker in Lewiston as a stitcher in the shoe shops. She discusses what she did there and the shops that she worked at. She also discusses places in Lewiston and her family’s immigration to Maine.
Maine MILL’s permanent exhibit is closed as we prepare to move to our new space. “Drawn in Light: Charlie Hewitt” remains open through the end of May and is free to the public. Opening weekend in our new building will be June 26-28.
