Roger Nadeau

Roger Nadeau, born and raised in Lewiston, Maine, talks in this interview about his family, affiliation with the mills, his friendships growing up, and dropping out of high school during his sophomore year of high school to work in the shoe industry. He touches on other jobs he held in his early life as well. He goes on to talk about his time as a supervisor, his military service, his relationship with coworkers and upper management, his trials in working while shoe shops were closing, and different sectors within the shoe factory. He also speaks on injuries and hazards in the industry, retirement and benefits, his company’s loyalty to its workers, and his and his coworkers’ investment into the environment.
