Bert & John Morin

Bert and John Morin are both very involved in the brick industry here in Auburn. Their family ran the Morin Brick Company, and the two share a lot of details both in the company as well as the brick creation process. They detail everything from the collection of clay from the clay banks, the molding of the bricks, firing them through the kilns, to even how each machine was operated and the type of work needed to operate them. Just about every step of the brick process is covered, including details on how the different blends were created and used at all sorts of places like the University of Maine in Orono or Colby College.
