Charlie Herrick worked in the Bates Mill beginning in 1970. He discusses the night shift and unions at the Bates Mill. He also talks about how the changing technology and business practices impacted the work in the mill over time.
Maine MILL will be closed December 24 and 25 as well as January 1. We will be open on December 26, 27 and 31 as well as January 2 and 3. We will be closed for the remainder of January as we install our next exhibit, which will open to the public on Friday, January 30.
